Lingerie Not Really Your Thing? Here's What To Wear for Your Boudoir Instead | Scottsdale Phoenix Boudoir Photography
So you’re thinking about doing your very own boudoir session. One of the first things you might be asking yourself is ‘what would I even wear?’. For some women, wearing lingerie just really isn’t their thing. Which can raise even more questions like —
‘But what would you wear instead? Can you even do a boudoir session without lingerie?’
The short answer is YES.
The long answer — you get to wear whatever you want! Whatever makes YOU feel sexy! There are so many other outfit options besides lingerie. Though they may be often overlooked there are tons of other things a girl can wear that can be incredibly attractive, fun, inviting and yes, still just as sexy!
Here are just a few of our boudoir Studio’s favorites!
The Top 5 boudoir outfit ideas that are not lingerie:
The Real MVP/Jersey
An all around favorite! This one lends to some really creative boudoir photos. The jersey is a great way to personalize your session especially if you are also doing your shoot as a gift for your significant other. Wear his jersey or your own. Either way - we all know who the REAL MVP is and this boudoir outfit is sure to please!
White T-Shirt
A classic white t shirt can be a steamy hot alternative to lingerie. And better yet, can be found in almost everyone’s closet. Wear it loose, fitted, or even a little damp. The white t-shirt is a staple piece that is simple to source but also incredibly sexy!
“MOM” Jeans/Shorts
Go ahead and wear the mom jeans! Just another sexy alternative that can already be found in your every day closet. Jeans are great paired with a bustier, crop tops, or a cute bralette. You can rip em’ and hike em’ to show a little cheek or even wear them high wasted and topless! Whatever your style, the jeans are HOT HOT HOT no matter how you wear them.
Sports Bra
Been working on your fitness and want to celebrate your journey? Show off your sporty side with a bra and pantie set (think Bench Body or Calvin Klein). You will definitely make a statement with this one! Added bonus: its comfortable! And who doesn’t love comfort?
Oversized Sweater
This one is a fall fave but works well for boudoir during any season really! When it comes to boudoir, the oversized sweater is flirtatious, playful, and particularly sexy paired with cheeky bottoms. You can wear it pinned back, pulled forward, or leave it loose if you prefer something a little more casual. Honestly, the possibilities here a quite endless.
There’s more that we haven’t mentioned like…
Little Black Dress
Seasonal Flannel
His Uniform
Leather Jacket
White Sheets
Sure, this list is not inclusive. Honestly, there are so many more options we could talk about here! We also know that some may work better for you than others. Which is why we are here to help! If you have questions about what to wear or whether or not something other than lingerie is the way to go, be sure to ask us during your styling and wardrobe consultation (its included when you book a shoot with us!)
