How you feel about yourself matters far more than anyone else’s opinion of you.
Boudoir is rarely seen as taboo these days. In fact it has become a very popular choice for women who are who are getting married, or celebrating a life event like turning 50, getting a promotion, or stepping into a big change. Of course there are so many more reasons to book a boudoir session (you can read them here). But, for the most part, there seems to be a common theme that’s even simpler than that — an act of self-love that needs no occasion.
Even still, not everyone is going to understand why you’re choosing to do a boudoir session. Accept it, thank them for their opinion, and do what you’ve got to do for you! If you have not booked your session yet but know that you want this I hope you take this opportunity to treat yourself to one of the most empowering things you’ll ever do for you!
